The Pain and the Itch is a dark, biting comedy that brilliantly exposes the hypocrisy, dysfunction, and simmering tensions beneath the surface of an upper-middle-class family.
It mixes dark social commentary with humour and uncomfortable truths to concoct a compelling play likely to leave audiences thinking long after the final curtain. What begins as a typical family squabble over minor irritations quickly spirals into a confrontation of deeper issues like privilege, race, and moral blindness as a Thanksgiving dinner goes terribly wrong.
