Introduction
Dame Carol Ann Duffy DBE FRSL HonFBA HonFRSE (born 23 December 1955) is a British poet and playwright. She is Professor of Contemporary Poetry at Manchester Metropolitan University, and was Poet Laureate from 2009 to 2019.
