by E. Nesbit, adapted by Mike Kenny

Directed by Tom Melly

Performances: Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 July and Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 August 2023, Old Fire Station

Introduction

Mike Kenny’s imaginative stage adaptation of E. Nesbit’s much-loved children’s classic. Famously filmed, this story of a prosperous Edwardian family forced into near-penury in the rural north of England captures the anxieties and exhilarations of childhood with great tenderness and insight.
