P G Wodehouse


Introduction

Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse KBE (15 October 1881 – 14 February 1975) was an English author, playwright, screenwriter and lyricist. The creator of the worlds of Jeeves & Wooster and Blandings Castle, among many others, Wodehouse was one of the most prolific and widely read humorists of the 20th century, with over 100 books to his name.

As a Broadway lyricist in the 1920s and 30s he collaborated with Jerome Kern, Guy Bolton, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and others.
