SLT Member 2007 - Present

Acting Roles

Productions as Director

Sean hasn't directed with SLT, but has with his Youth Group based in Downe, Kent.

Credits include: The Magical Mystery Tour (2004 Revue); Bugsy Malone (2005); Return to the Forbidden Planet (2007); The Wizard of Oz (2008).

Interests

Sean has always been involved in theatre and was acting professionally (alongside some Stage Management work) between 2004 and 2005 when he set up a Youth Theatre group in the village of Downe (near Bromley, Kent) to provide for the youth of the area. As the group has developed almost every child over 7 has at one time been a member of the group. Children from around the Bromley Borough have also been involved in its productions and events over the last 4 years. The group now has an annual award ceremony - something which Sean has resisted for some time (only because the aims of the group are about development and learning rather than being the best performer) - it has always presented certificates to those who have performed or worked backstage, but now the group award a trophy called 'The Richard Shaw Award' in recognition of one member each year who has shown considerable growth as a performer/crew member but also as a young person, in attitude and behaviour as well as in theatre skills and confidence. Stage Door Theatre Group, Downe will be five years old in December 2008.
