Introduction
It is the dying days of the War of the Roses. The civil strife that has laid waste to the country is finally drawing to a close. Edward IV of the House of York sits on the throne, but after so many years of feuding and distrust how long will he stay there? Enter his Brother Richard of York, arguably the Bard’s most villainous creation, at turns cold and calculating, witty but above all a master of deception and manipulation. Here is a man determined to sit on the throne at whatever cost to those around him. Let the bloodbath begin.
Arguably Shakespeare's most villainous creation, Richard embarks on a killing spree as he plots his way to the throne of England. This should be a dark, sinister but engrossing piece of theatre where no one is quite what they appear to be.
