Introduction

One-act play originally professionally performed at the Cottesloe Theatre (NT) in Feb 1986 with a cast of 3. First amateur performance SLTC Prompt Corner Feb 1987, it was rewritten to include the tea-lady (then played by Pam Lyne for its run at the Kings Head in Islington and the Edinburgh Festival in 1992 and again as a two-act play for this run. It was later rewritten for a further SLTC perfomance at the NATHDA "play-in-the-round" festival, which it won and a further SLTC performance.

Act One tells the story of the love affair between Debbie and Dave, from meeting, through falling in love and marrying to the eventual decline of their relationship.

Act Two shows them discussing and blaming each other for the break-up of their marriage in the waiting room of the hospital where their daughter lies critically injured.
