Introduction

Veronica's Room is a two act play set in a house about a half an hour's drive from Boston. There are four characters; The man, the woman, the girl, and the young man.

The story deals with the girl, Susan. Susan was having dinner with the young when an older man and woman approached them. They told Susan she looked a lot like a girl named Veronica. That seems innocent enough. But looking like Veronica is not necessarily good. Veronica has died of tuberculosis. Susan is about to visit the house where Veronica lived and meet Veronica's sister. In fact Susan is being asked to impersonate Veronica.

Its for a good cause - or so she's told - to please Veronica's sister who is dying of cancer. But Susan is being drawn into a ritual that she can not possibly begin to comprehend and once she enters Veronica's room there will be no escape.

Not in fantasy.

Not in reality.

Nor in any of the areas that lie between.
