Introduction
Queers was commissioned to mark the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of male homosexuality in 1967. We showcase seven monologues by seven different writers, each exploring different aspects of the gay experience over the last 100 years.

Wow, Queers, what a strong show. It’s hard to pull off monologues, but all the cast did so excellently & with such nuance. As for the story telling, it was impeccable which really resonated with me and my friends (newbies to SLT). 🍑

You'll all have a favourite with what ever story resonates with you. I loved them all but a special mention to 1980's James Tibbles and newbie Cole.

What better way to spend a Thursday or Friday night then seeing this fantastic production of Queers. Oscar Wilde makes a brief appearance of course but who would have expected a homely candle to play such a part.
Such varied stories. Every one of them sad and funny and beautifully told. I will never look at a Venus fly trap plant in the same way again.

I’m not usually a ‘gusher’ but Queers at South London Theatre gets to me every night. Beautifully written in chronological order of the growth and difficulties of being gay since WW1
