Introduction

A Slice of Saturday Night is a pastiche of the Sixties and a tale of teenage dreams, young love and romance it is set around 1964 in nightclub called Club-a-Go-Go.

The teenagers are usually played by people much older<ref>[A Slice of Saturday Night] on Wikipedia</ref>

"'A Slice of Saturday Night' was first performed at the Brighton Actors Theatre with subsequent transfers to The King's Head and The Arts Theatre, London in 1989. The show is based on the experiences of the four Heather Brothers growing up in the 60s. Whilst the show is clearly set in that era, it is about being a teenager. Each of the numbers is based on a hit from the 60s. See How many of them you recognise - we start with a number from The Beatles. Sit back and enjoy. There's no hidden meaning to the show, it is there simply to be enjoyed. If you feel like joining in, you'll get your chance in the second half. 'A Slice of Saturday Night' should be available on the National Health. It will cure all known conditions of grumping and malaise and leave you with a daft grin of pleasure for a long time afterwards. I loved it." Michael Palin.
